Sculpture, Walk on Water

For the Water Works show to commemorate Lake Superior Day in Duluth. The piece is 4' x 6' x 1', installed in an alcove at the Marine Museum. It's a 4' x 7' photo mounted on a sheet of aluminum, bracketed to the wall and falling in a waterfall shape to the floor.

Mid-Lake Superior, between Grand Marais and Sand Island, summer solstice

This work appears as part of the Book About Death show taking place starting Sept 10 at the Emily Harvey Foundation building in New York. This Fluxus-inspired show will gather a thousand artists' postcards in editions of 500 to create 500 copies of the Book About Death. Performances and more are scheduled for Sept 10.
Walk on Water
This blog is set up to document Walk on Water, an open-ended photo essay incorporating photos of living water surfaces.
I create sculptures and installations using these photographs: the primary mode is to apply them to steel sheets that curve and bend, evoking the movement of water.
